Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the prime minister's office reported.
"The Russian President congratulated the Prime Minister of Armenia on his birthday and sent his best wishes. Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the Russian President for the call and congratulations," it said in a statement.
They also exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.
"The Prime Minister of Armenia thanked the Russian President for his balanced positions on a number of issues that gave rise to misreadings, his friendly tone, as well as his support," reads the statement.
The two leaders agreed to continue the discussions at a suitable opportunity in the format of a meeting.
