Armenia and the United States have formally signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation related to the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).
The Foreign Ministry released a video showing Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signing the agreement on Thursday.
The signing completes a remote process that began during U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to Yerevan last month and clears the agreement for ratification by the two countries.
“Moments ago, I signed the Armenia-U.S. framework agreement on TRIPP,” Mirzoyan said. “Secretary Rubio has already signed the document on behalf of the United States and sent it to Armenia. With the Armenian side’s signatures now completed, the remote signing process has concluded and the agreement is ready for ratification.”
Mirzoyan and Rubio initially signed the framework agreement in Yerevan on May 26.
