An Armenian analyst has accused Azerbaijan of preparing maps of polling stations across Armenia, describing the move as part of a broader expansionist agenda.
Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan said the mapping effort was tied to the concept of “Western Azerbaijan,” a narrative promoted in Baku that seeks to undermine Armenia’s territorial integrity.
“The leadership of sovereign Armenia, instead of resisting Aliyev and defending us from the enemy, is once again targeting national forces,” Geghamyan wrote on social media on Friday. He urged citizens to participate in the June 7 parliamentary elections, calling them a rare chance to alter the political landscape.
“Go to the polls, so that in future elections we are not reduced to a map like this,” he said, sharing a photo.
