Karapetyan calls on public servants to resist pressure, back Strong Armenia bloc

Samvel Karapetyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the Strong Armenia alliance, called on public servants to stand firm against political pressure and vote for change in the June 7 elections.

In a message issued on Friday, Karapetyan praised them as “the backbone of the nation” and pledged sweeping reforms to improve their pay, housing opportunities, and career advancement. He promised that promotions would be based on merit rather than political loyalty and vowed to end favoritism in the public sector.

Karapetyan accused government officials of attempting to coerce workers into supporting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, warning that threats of dismissal and retaliation were being used to influence votes. “Inside the voting booth, you are alone with your conscience, your children’s future, and your God,” he said, assuring employees that their ballots would remain secret.

He pledged that the Strong Armenia alliance's victory would bring higher salaries, affordable housing programs, and better access to education for public servants’ families. “You are not just choosing a party,” Karapetyan said. “You are choosing a dignified life for yourselves and your children.”
