Armenia's CEC allocates parliamentary seats following June 7 vote

Armenia's Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has announced the distribution of parliamentary seats following the country's June 7 parliamentary elections.

According to the commission, the ruling Civil Contract party secured 64 seats in the National Assembly, giving it a majority in the legislature.

The Strong Armenia alliance, a coalition comprising the Strong Armenia Party, the New Era Party and the United Armenians Party, won 29 seats.

The Hayastan (Armenia) alliance, which includes the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Forward Center-Right Party, received 12 seats.

The three political forces were the only groups to surpass the threshold required to enter parliament.

The newly elected National Assembly will consist of 105 lawmakers.
