Former Armenian lawmaker Ruben Hakobyan said on Friday that authorities were attempting to detain him.
“At the moment, they have come to arrest me,” Hakobyan wrote on Facebook.
In the post, Hakobyan launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accusing him of bearing responsibility for the surrender of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the deaths of thousands of soldiers. He also stated that Pashinyan, whom he called a "monster", had undermined the country’s dignity and national interests in order to remain in power.
Hakobyan did not disclose the reason for his detention.
