Armenian GM wins 2026 Chicago Summer Open

Armenian GM Zaven Andriasian has won the classical and blitz chess tournaments at the 2026 Chicago Summer Open.

In classical tournament, Zaven scored 4.5 points out of 5, while in the blitz tournament he scored 8 out of 8, the Armenian Chess Federation reported on Monday.

"Congratulations to Zaven, and we wish him new achievements!" it said in a statement.
