Armenian produce draws interest in Turkish market, minister says

Armenian agricultural exports, particularly fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers, are drawing mounting interest from international buyers, including Turkey, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced on Thursday.

Addressing a cabinet meeting, Mirzoyan underscored the government’s push to diversify export destinations for Armenian farm goods. He pointed to strong prospects in the European Union, Central Asia, Arab states, and Iraq.

“Even our immediate neighbors, including Turkey, have expressed great interest despite current restrictions,” Mirzoyan said. He confirmed that pilot shipments are already underway, with outcomes expected in the coming weeks.

The minister acknowledged logistical hurdles in accessing new markets but stressed that the government is working to manage the challenges and provide support to Armenian businesses.
