Thunderstorms, hail and heavy rain expected in Armenia

Thunderstorms, heavy rain and isolated hail are forecast across parts of Armenia on Saturday and early Sunday, before conditions turn warmer and drier.

In Yerevan, brief showers and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday afternoon and overnight into Sunday, with hail possible in some areas. Wind gusts of 15-18m/s are likely during thunderstorms.

Across the country, thunderstorms and showers are forecast for many regions on Saturday, with downpours expected in some areas. On Sunday, unsettled weather will be confined to isolated areas, where hail remains possible.

Dry weather is expected from Sunday afternoon through Wednesday.

Temperatures are set to fall by 4-5C on Saturday before gradually rising by 5-7C between Sunday and Wednesday.
