Mkhitaryan to stay with Inter until 2027

Inter have officially confirmed that 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has put pen to paper on a new contract extension that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2026-27 season. 

The Armenian had been out of contract on June 30, but was offered the opportunity to extend his stay with the club, an option which he has since taken up, Football Italia reported.

Recent reports indicate that Mkhitaryan will earn a base salary of around €2m for the coming season in San Siro. This is a significant reduction from the €3.8m base salary that the former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder was believed to be earning on his previous contract.

The veteran midfielder took part in 39 matches across all competitions in 2025-26, chipping in with four goals and three assists from the middle of the park.
