AUA, Shengavit Medical Center sign MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Bruce Boghosian, President of the American University of Armenia (AUA), and Alexander Urumyan, Chief Executive Officer of Shengavit Medical Center, reaffirming the two institutions’ shared commitment to advancing medical education, clinical training, and the preparation of future healthcare professionals.

Within the framework of this partnership, students enrolled in AUA’s Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs will have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in the clinical environment of Shengavit Medical Center, gaining valuable hands-on experience and strengthening their professional competencies.

“We believe that combining high-quality education with advanced clinical practice is one of the most meaningful investments in the future of healthcare. For many years, our medical center has served as an important platform for medical education, and we are pleased that this collaboration will create new opportunities for the education and professional development of future healthcare specialists,” said Alexander Urumyan, Chief Executive Officer of Shengavit Medical Center.

Also in attendance was Narek Matinyan, Director of Proton Diagnostic and Scientific-Educational Center, who emphasized the importance of expanding academic and scientific collaboration and supporting joint initiatives aimed at educating and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

This Memorandum of Understanding marks another important milestone in Shengavit Medical Center’s educational mission, strengthening collaboration between academia and clinical practice while contributing to the development of highly qualified healthcare professionals.
