Three political forces enter Armenia's new parliament

Armenia's Constitutional Court has upheld the official results of the country's June 7 parliamentary elections, confirming the composition of the 9th National Assembly.

The decision leaves intact the Central Election Commission's June 14 resolution certifying the election results, according to Central Election Commission Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan.

Under the final results, three political groups will be represented in the new parliament:

1. The Civil Contract party will hold 64 seats.

2. The Strong Armenia alliance will hold 29 seats.

3. The Hayastan (Armenia) alliance will hold 12 seats.
