Armenia sends 15 players to European Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship

The 2026 European Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship will take place in Rzeszow, Poland, from July 7 to 9, the Armenian Chess Federation reports.

Armenia will be represented by 15 players:

FM Vache Hovakimyan – Under 18

FM Manvel Arakelyan – Under 16

Vazgen Karakhanyan – Under 16

Hamlet Sahakyan – Under 16

Anri Hayrapetyan – Under 14

Aleksandr Hakobyan – Under 12

Smbat Harutyunyan – Under 12

Hakob Petrosyan – Under 10

Manvel Vardanyan – Under 10

Davit Sargsyan – Under 10

Alexander Gichunts – Under 8

Tsovinar Yeghoyan – Under 18

Rozi Ananyan – Under 14

Lilit Hakobyan – Under 12

Sofia Baghramyan – Under 10

The Rapid Championship will be held from July 7 to 8 and will consist of 9 rounds.

The Blitz Championship will take place on July 9 and will consist of 18 rounds.
