Wolf attack in Armenia leaves elderly man severely injured

A 72-year-old man is set to undergo additional surgery in Yerevan after suffering devastating facial injuries in a wolf attack in Syunik Province.

Suren Tsatryan of Kharahunj village was mauled by a wolf on Wednesday, sustaining severe trauma to his face. He underwent a seven-hour operation in Goris before doctors determined he needed further reconstructive procedures in the capital, his daughter told Syunik News.

Several residents, including a 2-year-old child, were also injured in the attack. Authorities said the toddler received medical care and was discharged from the hospital in three hours, with his condition assessed as good.
