Three Armenian singers selected for Operalia 2026

Three Armenian opera singers have been selected to compete in the 2026 edition of Operalia, one of the world's leading international competitions for emerging opera talent.

The competition organisers announced the list of 34 participants on Wednesday, with Armenia represented by soprano Lana Aivazian, soprano Marianna Hovanisyan and baritone Aksel Daveyan.

Presented by Rolex and hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Shangyin Opera House, Operalia will take place in Shanghai from 26 October to 1 November.
