Opposition MP: Azerbaijan will keep pressuring Pashinyan government until its demands are met
Armenian opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan says Azerbaijan will continue to pressure Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's government until all of Baku's demands were met, stressing that Azerbaijan has linked the conclusion of a peace agreement to Armenia's constitutional changes.
Writing on social media on Monday, Abrahamyan said that while Pashinyan has stated that the draft text of the new constitution will be ready by year-end, Azerbaijani officials reiterate that they will not sign a peace treaty until Armenia amends its constitution, citing alleged territorial claims against it.
"What additional demands will emerge along the way and what else will be imposed on the current authorities remains difficult to say," he wrote.
