Former Armenian MP countersues Nikol Pashinyan

Former Armenian lawmaker Sofia Hovsepyan has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, demanding a public retraction of statements she claims tarnished her honor, dignity and reputation.

Court records show the claim was lodged on July 14 and assigned to judge Sargis Yeritsyan of Yerevan’s Civil Court.

The case follows Pashinyan’s earlier suit against Hovsepyan, in which he sought a public apology, retraction of what he described as defamatory remarks and 6 million drams in damages.
