IRGC missile strikes reportedly kill nine Komala peshmergas in Iraqi Kurdistan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has killed at least nine peshmergas of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan and seriously wounded at least three others in missile strikes on a headquarters of the party in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the IRGC fired several missiles at the reception area of the party’s headquarters in the village of Zirgwezla, Sulaymaniyah Governorate, at around 06:00 local time on 17 July.

Those killed were Farhad Ghamari from Divandarreh, Ahmad Mahmoudi from Baneh, Siavan Nik-Khah from Bukan, Kasra Rahmannezhad from Bukan, Soroush Nasri from Marivan, Sina Safari from Shabad (Eslamabad-e Gharb), Yasin Kianpour from Shazand, Zakaria Faghih Hassan-Agha from Bukan and Reza Sadeghi from Bukan.

At least three other people were seriously wounded and are reported to be in critical condition.

Information compiled by KHRN shows that since 2017, IRGC missile and drone attacks on camps and headquarters belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have killed at least 53 party members and political refugees and wounded dozens of others.
