Yerevan authorities crack down on unauthorized paid parking

Authorities in Yerevan have launched a crackdown on illegally operated paid parking lots, the city administration said on Monday.

Joint inspections by the Municipality’s public order service and the Interior Ministry’s police guard uncovered several cases of operators charging drivers without legal authorization. Officials said 10 administrative violation reports were issued under Article 162 of Armenia’s Administrative Code.

“These measures will continue,” the Municipality warned, urging residents to avoid unauthorized parking schemes and stressing that violations carry legal consequences.
