HUMAN RIGHTS OMBUDSMAN SAYS OFFICIAL NOT TO INTERPRET CC RULINGS

Armen Harutunyan, human rights ombudsman, said some officials and institutes make arbitrary interpretations of the rulings of Constitutional Court (CC). He pointed out to the problem of social cards. Harutunyan advised public officials to apply to CC for further explanations instead of trying to provide their own interpretations.

Chairman of CC, Gagik Harutunyan, also pointed out that the rulings of CC are subject for execution and not for interpretation.

Most probably they referred to Aghvan Vardanyan, minister of employment and social affairs, who recently said in the parliament that CC ruling on social cards means it must be used in bank transactions.
