MUSEUM HEAD: WE TALK ABOUT OLD JUGHA GRAVE HOUSE IN PAST TENSE

“Today, unfortunately, we have to speak about the grave house of Old Jugha in the past tense,” Haik Demoyan, director of the museum-institute of Genocide, said speaking about the act of vandalism by an Azeri soldier in the grave house of Old Jugha.

“If at the beginning of 20th century there were about 10 thousands khachqars (cross-stones) there, now it is a training spot for the Azeri army,” he said also saying, “This is the “civilized” face of Azerbaijan.”

The museum exhibited today the photographs of Aram Vruyr, Zaven Sargsyan and Samvel Karapetyan made at Jugha grave house in different years before it was destroyed by Azeries.
