‘We are deeply shocked by the news on the death of Hrant Dink, Turkish-Armenian honored figure, a person who lived his life believing that understanding, dialogue and peace is possible among nations,” Vartan Oskanyan, minister of foreign affairs of Armenia, said speaking about the murder of Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of Akos, an Armenian newspaper in Turkey.
“We condemn the act - the murder of Hrant Dink, despite of circumstances, and hope that Turkish authorities will do everything possible to find out who stands behind it and who executed it,” the minister noted.
Right after the murder, Turkish Prime Minister Rejep Erdoghan, called a press conference. He said the happening was a provocation against Turkey and Turkish nation. The prime minister rendered condolences to the relatives of Dink saying the members of Turkish government will take part in the funeral.
