DEPUTY MINISTER SAYS SCANDAL AROUND ARMENIAN MINERAL WATER CONSEQUENCE OF COMPETITION

Samvel Avetisyan, deputy agriculture minister, does not know what are the standards to measure to quality of Jermuk mineral water. “It results from the fact that we cannot do a comprehensive study in our country,” the deputy minister said.

The turmoil around “Jermuk” does not meet the reality. “Jermuk is not new and is used as a mineral water. I have doubts that it is a matter of market. You know that the market demands make some to engage in anti-PR,” Avetisyan said.

On March 7 US government Food and Drug agency informed the American consumers that “Jermuk” mineral water imported from Armenia is harmful for health and contains a lot of arsenic. As a result, three countries today refused to accept “Jermuk” mineral water.
