ARMENTEL AND K-TELECOM REFUSE FROM CLAIMS AGAINST EACH OTHER

The Armenian Economic Competition Protection State Committee stopped the claims of K-Telecom and ArmenTel against each other. On March 5, K-Telecom applied to the committee saying ArmenTel engaged in damping by offering its customers to make calls with 27 drams/per minute rate under Friends and Family program. K-Telecom claimed ArmenTel abused its monopoly rights by the initiative.

ArmenTel filed another complaint against K-Telecom saying that the company violated free and healthy competition in the market. ArmenTel said K-Telecom offered rates to customers within OPTIMA+ package that differ from the official announced rates.

Later, on April 28 submitted applications to the committee saying “they do not have claims against each other.”
