FOLKLORE, ETHNOGRAPHY, NATIONAL APPLIED ARTS AND CRAFTS TO GET 30 MILLION ARMENIAN DRAMS FROM BUDGET
Additional 30 million Armenian drams will be allocated from state budget for “non-material cultural heritage protection.” In 2009, this sum will amount 52 million and in 2010 – 60 million, Hasmik Poghosyan, minister of culture and youth affairs told reporters today.
The money will be allocated according to timeline of concept paper on non-material cultural heritage protection, which the Armenian government approved today. Some 27 events will be implemented within grant programs.
Folklore, ethnography, national applied arts and crafts are considered as non-material cultural heritage.
