DEPUTY MINISTER SAYS COMMON EXAMS SUCCESSFUL

Speaking about common exams, Bagrat Yesayan, deputy minister of education and science, said they got more complaints last year than this year saying the figure is down from 15 to 10 percent. Yesayan said the exams were successful and more transparent than last years. Three hundred students could not pass the minimum threshold. Another 164 did not appear to the exams with valid explanations. Only 68 received highest 20 points making up 0.5 percent of all graduates. In the words of Vania Barseghyan, evaluation and testing center head, 14.3% of applicants received average grade.
