Each 13th Armenian Women Suffers from Cancer

“Today each 13th Armenian women suffers from breast cancer”, announced today the executive director of Mammography Center Khachanush Hakobyan. As to her the more researches the women passes the more cancer cases will be discovered and in the early stage of the development of cancer it is still cureable. “If years ago women mostly suffered from uterus cancer, the nowadays more breast cancer cases are often met”, mentioned Mrs. Hakobyan. She states that a woman must for sure have breast research once a year and once each 6 months apply to a gyneacologist.

Already today Mammography Center has a new method to discover a cancer cell on the uterus. “By the help of that method we have already discovered 40 cases of cancer in their early stage and we have been able to cure that” she mentioned adding that the examination cost is only 3000 AMD. Twice a month the center doctors organize free of charge examinations in the regions discovering from 100 up to 200 cases of cancer a day. During the 10 years of its existence the center has examined 120 thousand women ,3000 out of which had breast cancer, while only 500 of them had been discovered at the early stages and cured.
