GIRLS MORE INTERESTED IN THEATER ART

Yerevan Theater and Film State Institute received more applications at the Department of Artist Art than all other 13 departments. One hundred seven applicants submitted applications to the department where there are only 15 tuition-free places. Admission committee responsible secretary, Narine Sargsyan, mentioned that applications expressed greater interest with the artist’s profession.

Fewer applications were submitted to Theater Science and Literary Work Departments with the first having received 9 applications for 9 places and the second 5 applications for 5 places. Sargsyan explained that students have to take common exams to enter the mentioned departments whereas they are entitled to transfer their school grades in Armenian language to other departments. The number of applicants at Yerevan Theater and Film State Institute totals 138. Most are female, Sargsyan said.
