“PROSPECTS” OF GLOBAL WARMING

“In case the temperature rises by 1.7 degrees until the year 2100, there will be 15 percent less precipitation. Such changes will cause 15 percent reduction in water resources,” Department Head at Yerevan Hydrometric Center Hamlet Melkonyan said speaking on global warming with a correspondent of Panorama.am.
In his words, six different forecasts are made on climate change in the world with the best scenario the temperature rising up to 1.4 degrees and the worst – 6.5.

“The important thing is that we are given an opportunity to support the processes within our reach directed against global warming. Our specialists are enrolled in different models of training processes for forecast and evaluation of regional climate changes,” Melkonyan said.
