ES MINISTER: “ELITE SPECIALIZATIONS HAVE BECOME ACCESSIBLE FOR MIDDLE CLASS”

The final results of the acceptance exams will become public late today or early tomorrow. There will be no other additional exams or changes in the results since then, Minister of Education and Science (ES) Levon Mkrtchyan told a news conference today.

''This year we managed to lower the ''pass'' grades in almost all courses which will enable the children with average knowledge to enter the higher educational system... This has contributed to so called ''elite'' specializations to become accessible to the middle class,'' the minister mentioned.

The minister assures the exams took place in a quiet atmosphere and the number of appeals and double appeals has gone down considerably. Mkrtchyan assured the achievements are thanks to “both acceptance committee strictness and the quality of applicants.”
