Singer Ruben Hakhverdyan frowned at the Armenian show business today saying “our singers massively sing either cross-stones or lost love.” Hakhverdyan said so at Club “Pastark” today.
The hosts of the club, Ruben Hakhverdyan and Anna Mailyan, shared their concerns with “massive distaste and illiteracy” in the song art.
Hakhverdyan blamed globalization for that which affects more small states and, what is more important, affects the culture and language of a country.
“There is a chaos in the art, and especially in the song art, today. The ministry of culture must be in charge of this problem,” Mailyan said. Hakhverdyan added that the ministry of culture must be the “connecting link” in the field of culture. “It is clear, today, that the ministry does not have the function to dictate its will on the state,” the famous Armenian song master said.
