MEDICAL PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL ASSESSMENT CENTER OPENS

The medical psychological and pedagogical assessment center of the ministry of education and science will officially open today in former school N5. This is the first ever such center in the republic. In the words of Director Varduhi Katinyan, the center aims to unveil and assess physical, intellectual and spiritual development peculiarities of children with spcial education needs. She said special needs pedagogues, speech therapists, social workers, psychologists and lawyers will work in the center.

Katinyan also said the center will organize educational programs for parents with special needs children and for specialists working in establishments for such children. It will also organize conferences, seminars and exhibitions on challenges of special needs education.
