Yerevan school laboratories to receive laboratory equipment

Today Education Minister Levon Mkrtchyan gifted a gold medal to Diaspora benefactor Gabriel Champerjian for his 10 years of assistance to the Armenian educational system.

The minister pointed out that this year the benefactor would be donating laboratory equipment to all schools in Yerevan.

The benefactor stated that some 200 items of equipment is ready to be sent to Armenian schools, and by the end of the year the number of items will increase by 155.

Champerjian noted that 185 such laboratory items were sent to the provinces last year. He added that each piece of equipment was worth 25-30 thousand dollars. We note that the equipment is intended for physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories.

Mkrtchyan said that the benefactor also has plans to donate musical instruments to Armenian schools.
