RECITAL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD TO 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH AND 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF DEATH OF CHARENTS

The annual republican festival of recital, held close to the Day of Translators, is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of birth and the 70th anniversary of his death of Yeghishe Charents, renowned Armenian poet. The Armenian Writers Union is organizing the event jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science and Museum-House of Charents.

Ministry of Education and Science press services inform that the republican round of the festival will be held on October 11-13, this year. The first part of the round will be held at Museum-House of Charents and the second part take place at the House of Writers’ Union in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor. Forty-six who passed the initial selection will take part in the first round of the contest from different regions of Armenia. Eighteen of them will pass to the second round according to the selection of a jury.

The ceremony of handing the awards will take place at the cemetery of Mesrop Mashtots in Oshakan.
