MONEY WAS NOT ENOUGH FOR VERY GOOD PERFORMANCES

''We did not manage this year to bring several successful performances and theaters to Yerevan. It was connected with funds. It may be considered a shortcoming,'' Arthur Ghukasyan, Hayfest international theatrical festival chairman, said summing up the results of the festival.

In his words, dance shows made the bigger part of the festival. ''There are theatrical groups and very good performances which have consented to take part. However, we needed good sums for them, because, in addition to actors, there was also the problem of decoration,'' the festival chairman said. Ghukasyan said that starting from 2008, Hayfest will be called a festival of performing arts, however, he assured that theater will stay at the bulk of the festival.
