TEXTBOOKS FREE OF CHARGE IN NAGORNO KARABAKH

NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutunyan signed a decision yesterday by which the schoolchildren of the republic will get their textbooks free of charge. The ministry of education and science was assigned to stop charging for textbooks at state secondary schools starting from this academic year.

As informed by NKR government press services, ministry education and science was assigned to close out-of-budget accounts of funds collected from the rent of textbooks at secondary schools in Stepanakert and other regions of the republic and to transfer the funds to the state budget of Nagorno Karabakh.

Starting from next year, the state budget will allocate annual funds for purchase of textbooks for schoolchildren and teacher guides.
