EACH DAY 400-500 PEOPLE INOCULATED AGAINST MEASLES AND RUBELLA

As of October 19, on the second, “sanitation” stage of the inoculations against measles and rubella, 97.96 % of the target population have been inoculated in the Republic, as Panorama.am’s correspondent was informed Gayane Sahakyan, Head of the National Program for Immune Prevention. “Since a higher level of inoculations during the main stage was observed in marzes, at present the number of those getting the inoculation is not so big,” she said. Instead, according to the Program leader, the target group in the capital city manifests active involvement in the second stage of inoculations.
As Gayane Sahakyan states, about 400-500 people are inoculated in Yerevan daily. The inoculations will continue till October 28.
The main stage of the inoculations against measles and rubella ended up on October 13. Within the period of October 1-13 96% of the target population aged 6-27 were inoculated. The estimates of this target group total to 1.2 mln people.
