CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES IN CULTURAL UNIONS

“The staff of Armenian Theater Actors’ Union has undergone significant changes that will play a more flexible role in internationalization of the theatrical life,” newly elected chairman of the Theater Actors’ Union, Hakob Ghazanchyan, told a news conference today. In his words, the union has restarted reconstruction works. “A hall is being built at the upper floor that meets theatrical demands. Everything is done to attract the audience to the theater,” he said. In his words, there is considerable potential in the theater life, there are people of art with interesting ideas and the attention of the theater fans must be attracted to them.

Reconstruction is also under way in the Union of Artists. Karen Aghamyan, chairman of the Union of Artists, who was also present at the news conference, said many were complaining that the exhibition halls did not comply with accepted standards. “It is, actually, so. We will open new exhibition halls in one or two months thanks to cooperation with one organization,” Karen Aghamyan said.
