HAMLET GEVORGYAN’S FOLK SONG WILL BE ASSESSED BY WORLD KNOWN PRODUCERS

“Armenian Music Center has been a member of International Music Information Center for 6 years and has been invited to take part in an international big event this year,” Lilit Arshakyan, chief manager of the Armenian Music Center, told a news conference today. The center has selected the folk song of Hamlet Gevorgyan for the participation in the event.

Hamlet Gevorgyan is presented to world renown “Sonisbids” where his name is written for the first time as a representative of the Armenian song art. “We submitted personal information of Hamlet Gevorgyan – his past record, number of CDs per annum, number of solo concerts, number of fold music by his performance. He has passed seven stages and is in the first place now,” Arshakyan mentioned.

According to internet data of “Sonisbids,” the Armenian singer has won 45,000 points. There are about 1 million singers competing in the event. “The main aim of the event is to represent singers of different countries to the judgment of world renowned producers. The producers will make a selection and in case of success they may come up with offers,” Hamlet Gevorgyan said.

In January, the singer will leave for France where a big concert will be staged. Singers that have won the best 10 places will perform during the concert. “My victory will be to bring the Armenian folk song out of the Armenian platform and make it heard in different countries of the world. We did not try to bring any European elements into the song. It is purely Armenian folk song,” Gevorgyan said.
