ARMENIA DOES NOT IMPORT POULTRY

At the assignment of Grigor Baghyan, veterinary inspection head at the ministry of agriculture, the import of bird meat from Russia is banned connected with widespread bird flue in the country. Arthur Varjapetyan, department head at the inspection, told Panorama.am that not only meat of bird but also import of egg and powder egg is banned.

Besides Russia, Armenia has banned import of bird meat from Poland, Bangladesh, Korea, Vietnam, Egypt and Great Britain. Instead bird meat is imported from the USA, Brazil, Canada, Germany and Belgium.
