EMERGENCY CALL RESPONDS

On January 1, this year, the highest rate of emergency calls was reported totaling 585 against 480 last year. This indicator is considered higher than the average, Artiom Petrosyan, director of Emergency Call closed joint stock company, told Panorama.am. ''Normally 420-450 emergency calls in average are registered throughout the republic. During the festivities, their number goes up by 15-18 percent,'' he said.

''No emergency situations were reported. There were some connected with car accidents but such cases are reported during non-holiday days as well,'' Petrosyan said. He said higher rate of emergency calls for this year is connected with chronic diseases.
