NEW EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS

One of the priority projects of the year is to establish Quality Insurance National Service, Mher Meliqbakhshyan, head of civil developmnet and organization of higher education division, told Panorama.am. He informed that new educational standards are expected within Bologna process. The curricula are expected to be radically reconstructed based on such standards.

The department head assured that such standards will be close to European standards and the requirements of professional labor market. ''We also plan to organize training of the management and faculty of higher educational establishments on application of credit system on funds released by educational establishments,'' he said.

In the words of Meliqbakhshyan, the credit system is expected to expand in those higher educational establishments where it is applied. This year graduate students will also get transcripts in addition to their diplomas.
