50 YEARS IN 50 MINUTES

It is an anniversary year in Kajaran. It is the 50th anniversary of the town this year. Vardan Gevorgyan, mayor of Kajaran, who announced the anniversary year for Kajaran, has offered Ayas Film Documentary Company to shoot a documentary on the town, Hakob Melkonyan, film director and author of the project, told Panorama.am. He said the film will be the best gift to the town dwellers. ''This year the life of the town will be full of cultural and sports programs but the film will be in the core since it will tell about the culture, economy and history of the town,'' Melkonyan said.

The film will last 50 minutes and will tell about the history of the town which dates back 50 years, the project author said. ''The group involves 8-10 person. The producer is Gor Margaryan who is young but very talented,'' he said.

The film on Kajaran will be the first film of Ayas Film Company. The shootings will start next week. In the words of company direction, the budget of the film is 7 million Armenian drams, which was provided by Zangezur copper molybdenum factory.
