120 BOOKS TO BE PUBLISHED ON STATE RELEASED FUNDS THIS YEAR

This year 120 books will be published on state released funds, Chairman of the Armenian Writers’ Union Levon Ananyan told a news conference today. “Today most of the society does not know what books are published since publishing management has not formed yet and the published books are not advertised,” he explained.

Speaking about the turmoil around state awards, the chairman said that it contributes for the society to pay attention to books and specifies which books are valuable. “In all countries they make noise around state awards since they are highly popular books and it would be strange if there were no opposing opinions,” he said.
