TOMORROW MONITORING TO BE CONDUCTED ON CONTACT LINE

On January 29, a monitoring is planned on the military contact line between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in the vicinity of Ghapanli village. Media sources say the monitoring will be conducted within the mandate of Anjey Kasprchik, OSCE acting chairman’s personal representative.

Last time a monitoring was conducted on the contact line on January15 when OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs were on the regional visit to Stepanakert. They voiced their hope that regular monitoring will be conducted on the contact line.

In 2007, 30 people were killed on the contact line in different incidents.
