H. GHAZANCHYAN: A SWORD HANGING ON STATE THEATERS

“There is a sword hanging on the state theaters. If anyone speaks about closure of repertoire theaters, he or she will be considered an enemy of national culture,'' Hakob Ghazanchyan, chairman of Union of Theater Actors, told a news conference today. In his words, in other countries the repertoire theaters are blossoming because they are getting state funding unlike in our country.

This year after having staged a performed in Young Audience Theater Ghazanchyan decided not to do anything for two year and to leave the theater to young art heads.

''I can give two or three names that can be trusted. After that, I do not know what will happen. In all times we have had both insufficiency of actors and art producers,'' Ghazanchyan said.
