ARMENIAN COMMUNITY IN IRAN DEALS WITH ISSUE OF JUGHA

The Armenian community in Iran has handed booklets and DVDs to the diplomatic mission in the countries which display the violence committed by Azerbaijan in Old Jugha. This was informed by Alik newspaper editor Derenik Melikyan, according to Regnum.

The Armenian cemeteries and historical monument that are located on the territory of Old Jugha have been destroyed in the course of recent 15 years. In January, 2006 the European Union issued a decision condemning the actions of the Azerbaijani party in Old Jugha. Today the Azerbaijani interior affairs ministry conducts military exercises on the territory of the Armenian cemetery.
