SERZH SARGSYAN: “POWERFUL SCIENCE IN ARMENIA”

“Scientific base is very important for Armenia. In 21st century we can not have weak science,” said the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the annual summit of the Academy of National Sciences.

According to him the Government should carry out every step to contribute to the development of country’s economy in its proper way and to provide its quick improvement. “I am sure that we can acquire it only by strong scientific economy and by modernizing our industrial abilities. The demand of the 21 st century is intellect and knowledge with discoveries and matching them with the every day life,” said the president.

The president notified that 2007 was successful as the Government has affirmed a complex reform of sciences. He added that the number of financial means disposed to the sciences will be increased.
