MYTH OF NOYYAN TAPAN

On 27-29 “Myth of Noyyan Tapan” 145 minutes long documentary produced by “Azd Production” is shown by the Public TV, said Hayk Harutyunyan, the founder and producer of the production, to Panorama.am reporter. “To shoot the film a good range of other films and documents on the issue have been examined carefully, we have even climbed Ararat and talked with the Kurds living there. The one, who was accompanying us, gave worthy information too. And the result is a documentary rich with detailed information,” said H. Harutyunyan. According to him the budget of the film is not so rich but they do have some supporters.

Armine Harutyunyan the author of the film said that the documentary is about Noyyan Tapan and World Flood. “The film covers the mission, meaning and the position of Armenian apostolic church in this regard. Besdies some scientific approaches are presented,” she said.

According to the author of the film, they have tried to prove that Noyyan Tapan and its story is not just symbols as it is accepted in the world, but it is a true story based on scientific research. The authors have also included the stories of those who have tried to climb the mount and think they have found and seen….

Note that “Azd Production” is founded in 1997 and have produced more than 50 films. In recent 3 years “Welcome Karabakh” and “Western Armenia” films are produced and another film about Javakhk is being worked on. The production is specialized on producing documentaries but they work on others also.

In September a film based on Shirvanzade’s “Chaos” will be shown by Public TV.
