Armenian Department Has Been Opened in Aleppo University

The minister of Education and Science of RA, Spartak Seyranyan, had an official visit to Syrian Arab Republic in 21-24 June.
As the press and informational office of foreign affairs of RA informs during the meeting the minister of education and science had meetings with the prime-minister of Syria, Naji Ottry, the minister of higher education and science, Ghias Barakati, the minister of education, Ali Saad, the co-chairman of Arm-Syrian intergovernmental commission of Syrian side, the minister of economy, Amer Hosny Lutfy as well as visited universities in Damascus, Homs, Aleppo.
During the official meetings they talked about warm and friendly relations of the two countries and the readiness of deepening them.

In the frame of the visit two countries has signed a project of practical cooperation for 2008-2011 in the sphere of education and science.
The minister of education and science of RA took part in the official opening of Armenian department in Aleppo University. After the opening ceremony Armenian minister and the rector of Aleppo University planted tree symbolizing Armenian-Syrian friendship in the University`s garden.
